A Reflection on the Duality of Self-Centered and Light-Based Mindset within the Framework of Light Self-Knowledge

Author's Note:
I am an ordinary person with no formal academic training in psychology, philosophy, or religious studies. What follows is the fruit of personal reflection, free reading, and lived experience — not a proven theory, not a religious decree, and not a claim to authority. It is simply "notes from a thirsty soul" on the path to understanding truth. For practical decisions and actions, always consult qualified experts.

"Is your mindset a window to Truth, or a curtain over the eye of existence?"
Mindset is the "glasses" through which we see the world. These glasses are made of beliefs, experiences, traumas, and cultural teachings. But the problem is that many of us never look at our "glasses"; we only look at the world through them. And this is the greatest veil of knowledge.

1. What is Mindset?
Mindset, in this framework, refers to the "default cognitive framework" that colors all our experiences. Mindset is like "software" installed on the "hardware of the brain" that determines how incoming data is processed.
Our mindset determines:
- What we see as "important" and what as "worthless."
- What we see as "threat" and what as "opportunity."
- What we see as "reality" and what as "illusion."
---
2. Two Types of Mindset: Self-Centered and Light-Based
In Light Self-Knowledge, two main types of mindset can be distinguished:
**2.1. Self-Centered Mindset (Ego-Mindset)**
The self-centered mindset is the "dark glasses of the ego" that sees everything through the lens of "I." Its characteristics:
- Excessive Dualism: Good/Bad, Right/Wrong, Me/You. These dualities are like "walls" that cover "unity."
- Anxious Outcome-Orientation: Measures everything based on "outcome" and neglects the "path."
- Clinging to Labels: Identifies itself with roles and possessions and distances itself from "light-based identity."
**2.2. Light-Based Mindset (Light-Mindset)**
The light-based mindset is the "clear glasses of the Witness" that looks at the world from the "Center of Gravity of Existence." Its characteristics:
- Seeing Unity within Multiplicity: Sees everything as a "manifestation of the single Light" and transcends excessive dualities.
- Presence on the Path: Entrusts the outcome to the "Best System" and focuses on the "quality of presence."
- Freedom from Labels: Sees itself as a "point" through which roles momentarily flow.
---
3. How Does the Self-Centered Mindset Become a "Curtain"?
The self-centered mindset is like a "curtain" drawn over the eye of existence. This curtain is made of three layers:
- First Layer: "Limiting Beliefs" (e.g., "I can't," "The world is not a safe place").
- Second Layer: "Old Stories" (e.g., "I've always been a victim," "No one understands me").
- Third Layer: "Clinging to False Identity" (e.g., "I am successful," "I am an intellectual").
These three layers are like "fog" that covers the "present Truth." In this state, a person no longer sees "Light"; they only see the "shadows of their own mind."

4. How to Transform Mindset from "Curtain" to "Window"?
**Step One: "Recognizing the Curtain"**
Ask the "Witness": "Does this perspective bring me closer to 'Light' or further from it?" If the answer is "further," know that you are trapped in a "self-centered mindset."
**Step Two: "Suspending Mindset"**
Suspend your mindset. Ask: "If I didn't have this mindset, what would I see?" This question transforms the "curtain" into a "window."
**Step Three: "Washing the Glasses with Light"**
Wash your mindset with the "Light of the Witness." That is:
- Instead of "I can't," say: "I am in the process of 'becoming,' and at every moment, transformation is possible."
- Instead of "everyone is against me," say: "Everyone is in their own 'workshop of existence,' in the process of 'becoming.'"
- Instead of "I am successful," say: "I am a point through which success momentarily flows."

5. The Light-Based Mindset and "This is it"
The light-based mindset ultimately leads to "This is it":
"This is it, from seeing and believing in Him."
At this point, the mindset is no longer a "curtain"; it is a "window" that opens a new horizon toward "Light" every moment.
---
6. Practical Exercise (For Today)
Choose a daily situation (e.g., traffic, an argument with a colleague, or a small failure). Pay attention to your "mindset" in that situation. Ask the "Witness":
"Does this mindset bring me closer to 'Presence' or to 'Absence'?"
Then, wash the mindset with "Light" and see how the world changes.
