آیا تمایل مردان به هدف قرار دادن خود رابطه جنسی و تمایل زنان به گزینشی عمل کردن و حفظ ارتباط عاطفی، در سخت افزار مغز تعبیه شده یا یک پدیده ی اجتماعی است؟
۱. آیا وجود هورمون‌های محتلف در بدن زنان و مردان، باعث تفاوت‌های رفتاری می‌شود؟
۲. آیا تفاوت‌های بیولوژیکی میان زنان و مردان وجود دارد؟
۳. آیا می‌توان گفت در علومی خاص، مثلا ریاضیات، مردان بهتر از زنان هستند؟

۵. مطالعه سال 1978 Elaine Hatfield که در سال 1982 با نتایح تقریبا یکسان دوباره تکرار شد.
در این مطالعه، از مردان و زنان یک کالج خواسته شد تا به افراد جنس مخالف در محوطه دانشگاه نزدیک شوند و یکی از سه سوال را از آنها بپرسند:
1. امشب با من بیرون میری؟
2. امشب به آپارتمان من میای؟
3. امشب با من میخوابی؟
نتیجه پژوهش چی بود؟
>> هنگامی که یک زن به مردان نزدیک شد:
- حدود 50 درصد از مردان موافقت کردند که برای قرار ملاقات بیرون بروند.
- حدود 69 درصد موافقت کردند که به آپارتمان این زن بروند.
- تقریباً 75 درصد موافقت کردند که با او به رختخواب بروند.

۶. پژوهش David Schmitt به نام The International Sexuality Description Project (ISDP)
سه مورد از سوالات طرح شده در این پژوهش:
1. دوست دارید با چند شریک مختلف در یک ماه آینده رابطه جنسی داشته باشید؟
2. دوست دارید تا دو سال آینده با چند شریک مختلف رابطه جنسی داشته باشید؟
3. فکر می کنید تا پنج سال آینده واقعاً چند شریک جنسی داشته باشید؟
نتیجه پژوهش چی بود؟
- مردان به طور متوسط نسبت به زنان، در بازه های زمانی کوتاه و بلند مدت، به داشتن شرکای جنسی بیشتری تمایل دارند.
- مردان به طور کلی نگرش سهل گیرانه تری نسبت به رابطه جنسی گاه به گاه گزارش کردند.
- مردان نسبت به زنان نمرات اجتماعی - جنسیتی بالاتری داشتند (که نشان دهنده تمایل بیشتری برای درگیر شدن در رابطه جنسی خارج از یک رابطه متعهدانه است)
- در فرهنگ‌های مختلف، زنان در مقایسه با مردان در انتخاب شریک جنسی محتاط‌تر و گزینشی‌تر هستند.

3. In the mid-1980s, half of the males died from tuberculosis, primarily aggressive ones.

4. Males leave their natal troops during adolescence, resulting in no males remaining from a decade ago.
5. New males joining the troop adopted the unique culture of the existing troop.
6. Features of the culture include high rates of grooming and affiliation with females, and a relaxed dominance hierarchy.
7. Low-ranking males showed physiological measures suggesting less stress.
8. Models explaining transmission of the culture are described.
9. Data testing these models focus on the treatment of transfer males by resident females.
از مطالعه‌ی جامعه‌ی بابون‌ها:
وقتی برابری اجتماعی بیشتر بشه [در نتیجه] اضطراب در ماده‌ها کمتر میشه و حس امنیت بیشتری میکنند [در نتیجه] نرهای جدیدی که وارد جامعه می‌شدن کمتر پرخاشگری میکردند و Social - Sexuality شون کمتر از قبلی‌ها بوده. اگر جامعه رو به زور به سمت برابری اجتماعی ببریم، امنیت زنان بیشتر میشه، احساس اضطراب و سرخوردگی‌شون پایین‌تر میاد، نابرابری میان زنان و مردان از نظر Social - Sexuality کمتر میشه و در نتیجه امکان برقراری روابط محکم‌تر و پایدارتر فراهم میشه.
