According to Gambron Sport, the television program “Ji Bel” (meaning “cheerful companion” in the Hormozgani dialect) is one of the oldest and most popular sports programs on the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) network, broadcast live on the Khalij-e Fars (Persian Gulf) Channel.
With an analytical and investigative approach, the program examines the sports infrastructure of Hormozgan Province, introduces athletic talents and elites of various age groups, covers the activities of sports clubs and teams, reviews weekly sports news, and provides technical analysis of sporting events.
With over 20 years of continuous professional broadcasting, Ji Bel has been recognized—according to a survey conducted by the Research and Studies Department of IRIB—as the most popular and influential regional sports program among all provincial TV networks.
The program is directed, hosted, written, and produced by Seyed Mostafa MehrAzin, a presenter with 16 years of experience in political, economic, social, religious, and particularly sports-related media.
The program’s content and digital media team includes Ermia Palik and Hesam Sarahi.
Ji Bel airs live every Saturday at 8:30 PM for 90 minutes on the Khalij-e Fars Channel in HD (16:9) format, and to date, it has produced and broadcast four seasons with over 180 episodes.
