About Nima Safaei
My field of specializations are Mathematical Modeling (MM), Operations Research (OR) and Machine Learning (ML). OR - Science of Better - means DO THINGS BEST UNDER CONSTRAINTS. My professional experience is to solve the constrained optimization problems in different areas such as machine learning, graph theory, scheduling theory, maintenance/reliability engineering, transportation/logistics, and finance/banking. I have a strong background in diverse methodologies such as
• MM: statistical and combinatorial (integer, mixed-integer) modeling,
• OR: branch-and-bound, column generation, decomposition, Lagrangian relaxation, quadratic programming, network analysis,
• ML: clustering, classification, feature selection, dimension reduction, L0-regularization, XAI.
and hands-on experiences with diverse real-world problems such as:
• Finance/banking: correspondent banking network analysis, liquidity life modelling, client segmentation, casualty Inferences, capital issuance (bond/equity/loan) prediction, portfolio optimization, early warning signals.
