No body knows how to listen to music .
I'm sure you have heard about the electromagnetic waves and signals in the brain .
And certainly , you know that every wave has width and height , which can be shown by numbers then it would be much easier to understand in my opinion .
What makes a music fascinating to one's ears i think , is the relation between the numbers of the sound waves which exist in that music and your brain's electromagnetic waves .
Mathematically saying , there are a lot of cool relationships between numbers that if applied on physics of sound waves and electromagnetic waves , will make a whole new sense . Probably can explain a lot about good music .
