Design and pattern of reed carpet

The design and pattern of Niriz carpet is unique to this carpet and it is not widespread like Kashan carpet or Isfahan carpet. Like the three-stump plan, which is known as the tree plan in other cities, or the Barik Mahramat plan. Mostly, the Khamsa nomads migrate to the city of Niriz. Sometimes the attractive Khumsa carpets woven by Khumsa nomadic women are sent to different markets under the name of fine reed carpet. In the old days, the design and pattern of reed carpets and khumsa carpets were determined subjectively by the weaver. But with the passage of time and the increase in the urbanization of people, most of the weavers started to weave carpets with maps and weaved carpets with specific maps. On the other hand, the Ler people, Turks, Kurds and Arabs of Iran have had many interactions with each other and sometimes they weave the same carpet design. For this reason, it is a bit difficult to recognize the people of the carpet weavers from the design and map of the carpet. But we can recognize the weaving technique of each carpet.
