My suggestion is to add a native Windows capability that enables real-time translation of online videos—such as those on Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, and other platforms—directly on the device, without requiring file uploads, manual conversion, or switching between apps. Ideally, this feature would automatically detect the spoken language in any video and provide live subtitles or voice dubbing in the user’s preferred language.
Importantly, I recommend supporting all major languages, including but not limited to:
- Persian, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean
- Spanish, French, German, Russian
- Hindi, Turkish, Urdu, Portuguese
- And other widely spoken or regionally important languages

Technically, this could integrate Microsoft Translator APIs with Live Captions, enhanced speech recognition models, and a floating overlay system that activates during video playback across browsers and apps. Ideally, it would function seamlessly across both desktop and mobile versions of Windows, with minimal resource usage and maximum user control.
As a multilingual user myself, I often encounter valuable content in languages I don’t speak fluently. A built-in solution like this would not only save time and effort, but also open doors to learning, collaboration, and inclusion for millions of users around the world.
