Imprint of America's destructive doctrine

Statement by Faculty Members of Sharif University of Technology on the Global Threats of the U.S. Unchecked Power and Our Collective Responsibilities

We, faculty members of Sharif University of Technology, believe the current trajectory of the United States’ foreign policy has crossed beyond the bounds of international law. These policies are not merely a challenge to the security of Iran as an independent state; they represent a profound threat to international peace and the global order.

The United States has opened new horizons for state-sponsored violence through the assassination of scientists, the abduction of officials, and the legitimization of aggression against civilian populations. This school of thought, in its own omnipotence, has led the American leadership to dismantle international institutions and norms, resulting in the death of countless innocent people worldwide. From the ruins of Gaza and Yemen to the besieged sovereignty of Venezuela and Libya, the imprint of this destructive doctrine is undeniable.

This represents a deliberate degradation of the international system from a state of civil society to a Hobbesian state of nature, where raw power and escalating violence replace law and dialogue. The policies being deployed against Iran’s nation— overt military intimidation, covert operations, and economic strangulation designed to incite internal fragmentation —demand global attention and resistance now, before another region or nation would be ruined by the consequences of the

U.S. imperial aggression.

We recognize a universal human responsibility. We must all—irrespective of our differing political beliefs—work to inform the global publics about the catastrophic consequences of these malicious policies. We must unequivocally condemn this pattern of intervention and violence.

As scholars and citizens of one of the world’s oldest civilizations, we call for the mobilization of all national, regional, and international capacities to resist complicity with these inhumane policies. We must unite to prevent the world from descending further into a state where might makes right and where powerful actors are free to act without law or limits.

Our stance is one of the principles in defense of human dignity and a just world order. We stand in solidarity with all peoples who are threatened by the lashes of unrestrained power and violence, conscious that in our own homeland, Iran, the time for vigilance and collective action is now.

بیانیه اعضای هیئت علمی دانشگاه صنعتی شریف در مورد تهدیدات جهانی افسارگسیختگی ایالات متحده و مسئولیت‌های جمعی ما

ما، اعضای هیئت علمی دانشگاه صنعتی شریف، بر این باوریم که مسیر کنونی سیاست خارجی ایالات متحده آمریکا از حدود و چارچوب‌های حقوق بین‌الملل فراتر رفته است. این سیاست‌ها صرفاً چالشی برای امنیت ایران به‌عنوان یک دولت مستقل نیستند، بلکه تهدیدی عمیق علیه صلح بین‌المللی ونظم جهانی به شمار می‌آیند.

ایالات متحده با ترور دانشمندان، ربایش مقامات، ومشروعیت‌بخشی به تجاوز علیه جمعیت‌های غیرنظامی، افق‌های تازه‌ای را برای خشونتِ دولتی گشوده است. این مکتب فکری، با اتکای به توهمِ قدرت مطلق خود، رهبری آمریکا را به سوی فروپاشی نهادها و هنجارهای بین‌المللی سوق داده و درنتیجه، به مرگ شمار بی‌شماری از انسان‌های بی‌گناه در سراسر جهان انجامیده است. از ویرانه‌های غزه ویمن تا حاکمیتِ در محاصره ونزوئلا ولیبی، ردّپای این دکترین ویرانگر انکارناپذیر است.

این روند، به‌معنای تنزل عامدانه نظام بین‌الملل از وضعیت یک جامعه مدنی به «وضعیت طبیعی» هابزی است؛ جایی که قدرت عریان وخشونتِ فزاینده جایگزین قانون و گفتگو می‌شود. سیاست‌هایی که علیه ملت ایران به کار گرفته می‌شوند، از ارعاب آشکار نظامی و عملیات پنهان گرفته تا خفه‌سازی اقتصادی با هدف برانگیختن فروپاشی داخلی، نیازمند توجه و مقاومت جهانی در همین اکنون هستند؛ پیش از آنکه منطقه یا ملت دیگری قربانی پیامدهای تجاوز امپریالیستی ایالات متحده شود.

ما به مسئولیتی جهانی وانسانی اذعان داریم. همگی ما، فارغ از تفاوت‌های باورهای سیاسی‌مان، باید برای آگاه‌سازی افکار عمومی جهان از پیامدهای فاجعه‌بار این سیاست‌های مخرب بکوشیم. باید این الگوی مداخله و خشونت را به‌صراحت و بدون ابهام محکوم کنیم.

ما به‌عنوان دانشگاهیان و شهروندان یکی از کهن‌ترین تمدن‌های جهان، خواستار بسیج همه ظرفیت‌های ملی، منطقه‌ای وبین‌المللی برای جلوگیری از همدستی با این سیاست‌های غیرانسانی هستیم. باید متحد شویم تا مانع سقوط هرچه بیشتر جهان به وضعیتی شویم که در آن «زور، حق می‌آفریند» و بازیگران قدرتمند آزادانه و بی‌قانون و بی‌حد ومرز عمل می‌کنند.

موضع ما موضع اصولی در دفاع از کرامت انسانی و نظم عادلانه جهانی است. ما با همه ملت‌هایی که زیر ضربات قدرت وخشونتِ مهارنشده قرار دارند اعلام همبستگی می‌کنیم و آگاهیم که در میهن خود، ایران، زمان هوشیاری و کنش جمعی اکنون فرا رسیده است.
