How to gain fake and real subscribers to Telegram channel from 0 to 1500 per month
Oleg Tsegelnik, internet marketer and author of apps4.life, wrote a special column for AIN.UA on how to gain viewers on Telegram. In the article, Tsegelnik described both free options and those that require a cash investment. He also collected tips from thousands of channel owners.
1. Why should you create a channel?

Take different businesses: a big brand, an online shoe store, and a corner coffee shop. What will they write about?
Major brand - news, promotions, product reviews, user support, service, product or brand stories. Interesting? I couldn't find a logical example. A good option is bots to develop loyalty and brand awareness. But this is a different story.
Online shoe store - new products - possibly promotions - yes, advice on shoe care - yes, shoe selection - yes. But that's not what will get me to subscribe and unsubscribe. But one or two shoes a week is a really big discount.
Example: "Zhivaya Tekhnika" - a channel of the online equipment store - discounts, new products.
Corner coffee shop - little stories, relationships, love, anger, joy - feelings, which can be seen from the corner of the cafe, are always memorable. That's interesting. This can attract people to the cafe and increase its recognition and popularity.

2. How to collect subscribers
I created the @apps4life channel on July 26, 2017 and on August 26 I had 1,480 subscribers. Now the traffic has slowed down, the channel has 1,700+ subscribers. I will tell you how to get subscribers from my own experience.
What are the ways to collect subscribers for a Telegram channel?
Paid:
advertising on other channels;
direct advertising of the channel on social networks;
enter the collections of well-known sites;
buy boots;
buy unrelated subscribers.
Free:
Vice president;
blog comments;
collections;
directories.
I will very conditionally divide the methods into paid and free ones. Let's go over each of them.
2.1. For money
Advertising on other channels
It's important to understand that if your content isn't very good, to put it mildly, there will be subscribers, but a scratch. And they will unsubscribe. Content is still king.
If you have the budget to develop your channel, the direct route is to advertise on other channels and write great content.
What budget will be allocated and how will an advertising supply strategy be created?
I would go from small to large. Small budget first. Let's say 2000 rubles. per week (the main currency in Telegram is the ruble) or 900 UAH. This is enough to order the first ad on small channels, collections. The cost will vary from 100 to 150 rubles. (45 - 70 UAH) for participation in the election, or 200 - 300 rubles. (90 - 135 UAH) for a separate post.
So, in a week or two you will gain 500 subscribers.
According to my experience and communication with channel owners, it doesn't make sense to advertise on big channels right away. People are reluctant to subscribe to smaller channels. The only exception is content. If it has viral content, there is no need for advertising. It spreads like bacteria. Channel "Old" is an example of this.
Now you can increase the budget and advertise on channels with subscribers from 1000 to 10,000. At the same time, prices increase and range from 300 rubles. For mentioning the channel for up to 2000 rubles (135 - 900 UAH). The budget can be estimated at about 10,000 rubles. (4500 UAH) per week.
If the purchase is successful, the channel will reach 1000 subscribers and maybe even 2000. Or it may not.
What to consider when choosing an advertising platform:
the number of times the posts were viewed. Posts from a week ago should be proportional to the number of subscribers;
the subject of the channel. Your subscribers should be interested in similar topics. Relatively speaking, advertising an internet marketing channel on a recipe channel or "facts of the day" is ridiculous.
Now you can take any budget and invest in advertising on major channels with more than 10,000 subscribers. Here the amounts range from 1,000 to 100,000 rubles. (450 - 45,000 UAH) per shipment. I will not give an example from the channels, it is in everyone's mouth.
To calculate the budget of a channel, you need to focus on the figure of 5 rubles. (UAH 2.25) / subscriber. This is now the average cost per subscriber for entertainment channels. In business, it can reach 10-50 rubles (4.5-22.5 UAH) per subscriber.
So, if you need a channel with 10,000 subscribers, you need to invest in it about 50,000 rubles, or 22,500 hryvnia, or $ 867. And time. and content. Great content.
When will the investment return? I do not know.
But in one of the latest news, the Stalingulag channel (currently 118,000 subscribers) has started selling ads. I quote: "300,000 rubles (this amount starts the price of an advertising post on my channel, pay only in bitcoin, write a personal note on Twitter or Instagram)." The channel is based on content only. 300,000 RUB - this is 135,000 UAH.
The main payment method is Qiwi.
Recently, a lot of scammers have appeared, pretending to be channel owners or channel managers. You have to be careful, carefully check who and what you are paying for.
Direct advertising of the channel on social networks
Advertising should be cheaper than 4.5 UAH per subscriber, which is an unrealistic 0.17 USD.
The only place I've seen this method used is to gather a loyal audience on the site and show them ads for your Telegram channel through targeting. Catch the hook: don't miss the fun or be the first to know about the sale.
And also invite your friends on social networks. This is how I collected the first 30 subscribers.

This is a matter of negotiation. In my case, I didn't. Maybe in vain, I will do it in the future.
Builds on sites like Adme.ru or Lifehacker are good. Each of his posts is read by thousands and over time millions of people. This is a good investment. According to such choices, people will always come slowly, but they will come.
