Your first option speaks for itself. You don’t need to get a Visa before traveling to Iran. You can simply apply for an Iran Visa on Arrival (VOA) in the airport. Although Visa on arrival is the most common option, it’s not the safest option as there is a small chance of getting rejected.

What is an Iran E-Visa and why you should get one?

Iran E-Visa is another option for you. E-Visa is an electronic Visa application system, launched by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) in 2017 to make the Visa process easier. You can submit for an E-Visa on MFA site or any eligible tourist agency. E-Visa is the most secure way to get a Visa for Iran. You get your authorization code before arriving and there is no chance of getting rejected after you arrive in the country. The Visa process will be much faster as you wouldn’t have to stand in lines and it will be cheaper than VOA if you choose to pick your Visa in an Iranian embassy or general consulate.

Our advice is to submit on trusted tourist agency sites due to the following reasons:
It takes only 2-3 Iran business days (Saturday to Wednesday) for an agency to give you the confirmation code while in some cases it can take 10-15 days for MFA. Since getting rejected by MFA is very common, the MFA site usually asks applicants to apply through an eligible tourist agency. If the application gets rejected your travel agency can negotiate and complete demanded forms or documents and reapply, while MFA does not provide this option. You can simply Apply for Your E-Visa for a reasonable price and with 24/7 online support.
