I stayed at the Pars Hotel in Shiraz - Iran which is located on Karim Khan Blvd near Namazi Square in February 2024. I would rate this hotel 2 out of 5 stars, as I was very disappointed with the quality and service of the hotel.
The only positive thing I can say about this hotel is that it has a good location, close to the main attractions of Shiraz, and that it has fast elevators.
However, the negatives outweigh the positives by far. Here are some of the issues I encountered during my stay:
• The furniture in the room was old and worn out. The bed was uncomfortable and the sheets were not cotton.
• The bathroom was a disaster. The toilet splashed water everywhere when flush the towels were not cotton.
• The windows were not soundproof and the noise from the street was unbearable. The thermostat and the air conditioning did not work, so the room was either too hot or too cold.
• The lock on the door was old switch based one and only one was provided. The water in the refrigerator was not complimentary, and they charged me for it at checkout.
• The breakfast was very basic and unappetizing. They served the cheapest feta cheese, some old fruit, and low-quality cupcakes. They also had two types of soup and some jam, but no brewed tea or coffee. two kind of low quality bread was provided and the menu was the same every day and there was no variety or freshness.
• The parking lot was very tight and full of garbage and debris from the building. It was very hard to park and get out of the car. I was afraid that my car would get scratched or damaged by the junk.
• The reception staff were rude and uncooperative. They did not greet me or smile, and they did not answer any of my questions or requests. They also charged me extra for my child, who was 7 years and few days old at the time of stay, even though he was under 7 years old at the time of booking. They said that their policy was very strict and that they did not make any exceptions.
In conclusion, I do not recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a comfortable and pleasant stay in Shiraz. The hotel is overpriced and underwhelming, and it does not live up to its reputation. Unless you need to be close to the medical centers nearby, avoid this hotel at all costs!
